Bunker Buster - Review

Bunker Buster is a aerial bombing game for your Windows Telephone that non simply tests your flop dropping skills but also your concentration. The multi-level game has you playing the function of not just the bomber's pilot but likewise the bombardier.

The game offers a broad variety of targets, terrain and shipping. Throw in leaderboards, a handful of rewards, and comic styled graphics and Bunker Buster has the potential to be a welcomed addition to the Windows Phone gaming library.

To read more on Bunker Buster, fly on past the intermission.

Game Layout

As mentioned, Bunker Buster is a multi-level/chapter game (32 if my count is right) that progressively becomes more challenging. From the main menu, yous can access local high scores, rewards, a assist section, and gaming options (music on/off).

As you enter the game, yous'll run across the chapter layout and then receive your mission directives. Mission directives basically tell you what to blow up and what not to.

The game screen has your statistics running beyond the bottom of the screen that include fuel levels, bomb count, lives and score. Controls for the aircraft residuum on either side of the screen.

One push button controls your altitude (left) and the other button drops the bombs (right). Just remember with Bunker Buster gravity works and if you don't press the altitude button with frequency, y'all'll crash and burn down.

Game Play

The start level of the game is easy, almost too piece of cake, just it gives you a chance to get a feel for the controls. Just call up you won't be able to fly at maximum altitude all the fourth dimension.

Bombs exercise fall at a trajectory related to your speed, allowing y'all do drib at angles. Every bit you progress through the levels/chapters additional shipping will go unlocked and the terrain more challenging.

Non only will you exist asked to take out enemy bunkers and weapons just you'll too be asked to avoid diggings friendlies. Not just will you wing over wide open spaces but yous'll also be asked to fly through caves. This is where mastering the altitude control comes in handy.

All in all, game play was entertaining, challenging, frustrating, and mildly addictive. If constitute myself saying "one more endeavor" with frequency as I flew into a cave's ceiling.

Overall Impression

Bunker Busters is a fun Windows Telephone game that runs the gambit of reactions. Graphically, it is well presented (the comic book graphics are really nice). Game play is progressively challenging that tin can become you hooked on the game.

My only nit is that because the screen is and then narrow (based on the size of the game layout) you don't accept much recovery time equally your plane begins to loose distance. Yous actually take to stay on top of the altitude controls. It adds to the claiming but it can too add to the frustration.

There is a costless trial version bachelor for Bunker Buster and the total version runs $ane.99. You can download both here (opens Zune) at the Marketplace.
